Dump Him: St. Pete's Broom Closet introduce themselves in new video for "Tisket Tasket" — watch

It seems like it's been forever since Broom Closet dropped an EP of demos recorded live at a 2015 Boxing Day house party, and on the eve of another house show celebrating the release of a new album, CL is imploring you to get to know the St. Petersburg, Florida trio with this video for "Tisket Tasket."

CL EVENTS CALENDAR: BROOM CLOSET ALBUM RELEASE 09.16.16

The two-minute clip was directed and shot by Michelle Primiani and finds the Broom Closet ladies — guitarist Avery Moore, Rachel Coderre on drums and bassist Odessa Conner — working through the scuzzy garage pop tune in Moore's one bedroom apartment. There's a sad sap dude in there who doesn't know a good thing when he sees it, but Broom Closet seem to give no fucks as they pop bottles (hell yeah, André) in the sunlight.

Moore, 22, and company played their first show in November 2015 and have been writing material for this self-titled album ever since. The 11-cut release was recorded reel-to-reel at Alexander Charos' Yoko Phono Recording in St. Petersburg, Florida and gets the release party treatment with a backyard BBQ on September 17.

"We will be playing more traditional venues but don't have anything lined up yet," Moore told CL in a message, adding that starting the band has changed her life.

"We've been working really hard on putting the album together and wanted to celebrate Florida back yard style by cooking and making drinks for our friends, plus we love house shows."
