Now at its new home in Ybor City, Tampa’s Florida Museum of Photographic Arts continued its now 16-year tradition of hosting a members show, which closed last Friday on the ground floor of the Kress Collective on Seventh Avenue.

Six categories are judged by photography industry professionals: portraits, abstract, documentary, nature, conceptual‚ and AI-enhanced photography. Jr. Lowe was recognized for his documentary work, alongside Blake Yeager (for his Florida Man portraits), Mahu Kamal (first place, portraits), and others.

He doesn’t like to talk about it, but Creative Loafing Tampa Bay photographer Dave Decker took home first place in the documentary category for his work capturing protests outside the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
