The national Cameron Mackintosh/Really Useful Theatre Company tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera lands in Tampa just in time for Halloween. Based on the classic novel Le Fantôme de l'Opéra by Gaston Leroux, the chilling musical focuses on a masked madman who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House and terrorizes its occupants. When the "Opera Ghost" falls hard for a young and promising soprano, he devotes his time to making her a star, even if it means humiliating or hurting other singers in the process. Oct. 30-Nov. 22, 7:30 p.m. Tues.-Wed., 2 and 7:30 p.m. Thurs. (no afternoon show Nov. 13), 8 p.m. Fri., 2 and 8 p.m. Sat., and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Sun., Carol Morsani-TBPAC, 1010 N.
