It was pretty cool to watch. Even though I was tipped off that something might happen, I didn't really know what to expect. Organizers surreptitiously set up a small speaker for the music on the sidewalk. A couple of video cameras were also strategically placed but it didn't look as though the art fair goers even noticed. Then, without warning, it began. First one, then another, then over a dozen choreographed people young and old began to move to the music while the crowd gathered around. It lasted for under 5 minutes and then the dancers dispersed.

When it was over I heard many of the onlookers asking who the dancers were and where they came from. I think that's what a flash mob is all about.
