It's been a week, and we're still recovering. But thankfully, our memories being blurred and all, there's a visual record of the goings-on Sept. 21 at The Loafies, the Best of the Bay 2011 awards show at Czar's Imperial Theater in Ybor.
More than 600 politicians, artists, chefs, scenemakers, entrepreneurs and their friends and families crowded into Czar for a three-hour extravaganza at which we gave out awards from the writers, editors and readers of Creative Loafing. David Russell, would-be host, appeared throughout the evening on video as he tried to find his way to Czar; a slew of stand-ins, including former Mayor Pam Iorio, CP staffers and myself, did the honors for most of the evening instead.
