Black Marble w/Body of Youth Ghostly records signee Chris Stewart makes good on the promises of his Hardly Art releases (Weight Against the Door, A Different Arrangement) on a new-ish synth-wave release (last year's It's Immaterial) where Black Marble takes its new west coast influences and turns them into a 40-minute meditation on psychic turmoil about time, place and the dissatisfaction that comes with being young and not having control over place, or being old and not having control over time.” (New World Brewery, Ybor City) INFO
Big Picture What's better than enjoying a local band and your local scenery? Tuesday's live music schedule is relatively slow, but with Florida band Big Picture hitting the Park we have a good excuse to get out of the house. The largely acoustic rock band has been touring Florida since the 80s, and has spun off five albums during that time. While their popularity has taken it as far as California for shows, the band spends most of its time at home touring our beautiful Sunshine State. From their "introspective acoustic" sound to jolts of hard rock to covers of modern pop songs, this quartet does it all. This latest stop will be on the Tampa waterfront at Curtis Hixon Park. As we hit the middle of the week, this makes for a great opportunity to kick back and enjoy some Florida locals playing live music. (Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Tampa) INFO
