Hillsborough County government has had its share of scandals over the years, at times sapping the public's confidence in their ability to govern.
County Attorney Renee Lee was one of the latest casualties to be sent packing earlier this year for her lunch meetings with former County Commissioner Kevin White – who unceremoniously was sent packing by Hillsborough voters nearly a year ago in his bid for re-election.
But that's old news that no longer affects the citizenry. The daily goings on at the County Center and beyond do matter, and in an attempt at transparency, the county is now going to offer up "classes" on how it works, beginning next month.
The program is being presented by the Hillsborough County Office of Neighborhood Relations, presenting what they're calling the Government Leadership University, or GLU.
