The visionary folks over at Square One always give good visual, but we were particularly struck by the spooky-fabulous soul in the photograph by Jason Moriarty (right), which they're using to promote their next arts-and-fashion bash, The Man in the Moon (April 2, Ritz Ybor). Like Creative Loafing's Sensory Overload (which takes place this year on March 26 at the Children's Museum), Moon is one of those hybrid events that sums up the multi-disciplinary pleasures of an arts season all under one roof. And the stripéd one's eyes, so dramatically highlighted in Moriarty's photo, tie in with this issue's theme: You gotta see this!
There's so much to see these days in Tampa Bay. To help you navigate, our spring preview chooses the theater, rock/pop, movies and visual art you gotta see in the next three months. And this week we're also launching a new contest that'll give you the chance to show us what you're seeing: The Creative Loafing Photo Contest, whose theme, "Show Us Your Neighborhood," invites you to share your personal perspective on the streets where you live.
