Welcome to February, and to an area that will see no snow over the next 24 hours.
It was a busy news day yesterday, with the big national news being the decision that had already been foretold by that federal judge in Pensacola, Roger Vinson, who went beyond calling the individual mandate portion of the federal health care reform law unconstitutional, but the whole bill itself, not in line with our constitution.
Governor Rick Scott was on Fox & Friends this morning, where he celebrated the Judge's decision, and said that the federal government should just send him a block grant because "we know what Florida needs" when it comes to health care coverage.
CL attended the grand opening of the latest extension of the Trolley Street Car in downtown Tampa, which has been the subject of derision over the years because of its costs. Contributor Elizabeth Graham has that report.
After that event we spoke with Mayor Pam Iorio, who , showing loyalty to her staff, said the buck stops with her as criticism mounts on members of her staff for the administration's handling of the water bill crises.
