What CL is sure he meant by that purple-colored caption was "Your doughnuts are a wonderland." But in any case, it's kinda fun to imagine Mayer downing more than a few of the locally made morsels (like so many of us Tampa Bay residents have ourselves) before hopping on stage to support his new LP, The Search For Everything — even if the box of minis is virtually anonymous.
This food editor had a feeling these were the signature style of South Tampa-born Mini Doughnut Factory (that has to be a strawberry cheesecake in the bottom right corner), whose second location should open to St. Petersburg by the third or fourth week of September. So, I messaged Mini Doughnut Factory co-owner Patrick Ruddell to ask if the minis in question came from his crew, to which he replied:
"Haha… yes they are our minis. How cool is that?!"
