A Bradenton-based chain of cafes is giving Riverview another option for brunch. Joining places like the Egg & I and Ciccio Cali, the latest local location for First Watch opens its doors at 13013 U.S. Highway 301 on Monday.
Across the street from Wawa, the breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant, set to operate from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily, brings the Tampa Bay area First Watch count to 12. The new cafe is 3,400 square feet and will showcase the brand's updated restaurant design.
Among the mix of elevated and classic eats are smoked salmon eggs Benedict, breakfast tacos, lemon ricotta pancakes, and — wait for it — a superfoods bowl made with chia seeding pudding and that food trend the internet won't let go, avocado toast.
Ingredients like house-made granola and pico de gallo, organic greens, roasted veggies and cage-free eggs are also featured across the menu, with coffee by the pot and a fresh juice bar serving as other highlights.
