Earlier this week the Tampa Chamber of Commerce released a poll showing Rose Ferlita up by 10% over Bob Buckhorn in the race for Tampa mayor.  The key statistic in that poll showed independents strongly supporting Ferlita by a 2 to 1 margin.

The Bob Buckhorn camp dismissed those results, and today issued out the results of their own poll, which shows the former city councilman up by 6%.

Both polls surveyed 300 people in Tampa – the Chamber poll, conducted by Hamilton Campaigns, showed Ferlita at 43%, Buckhorn at 33%, with 24% undecided, and a margin of error at 5.7%

The Buckhorn poll, conducted by Frederick Polls out of Virginia, has Buckhorn at 44%, Ferlita at 38%, with 18% undecided.  It has a margin of error at 5.65.
