Nearly 2,000 miles separate Manitoba and Tampa, but one of the most boring names in Canadian photography (Tim Smith) made it all the way to Ybor City this weekend to share stories from his decade-and-a-half capturing still from the Hutterites, which a press from the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts describes as “a communal, pacifist Anabaptist group living across western Canada and the northwestern U.S.” Smith is spending today doing portfolio reviews in the historic district, and these are some shots from “The Hutterites: In the World but Not of It,” which is on view through Sunday, June 29.
