Strand of Oaks' new LP, Hard Love (released in February via Dead Oceans), is one of the best rock and roll records of  the year so far. The Indiana-based outfit led by Timothy Showalter is opening for Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit on select dates over the summer, and it looks like they'll break off the tour for a headlining show in Tampa on July 20 (Strand of Oaks plays St. Augustine with Isbell on July 22).

In other concert news, hard rock legends Scorpions have finally confirmed their October 15 show at Tampa's Amalie Arena. Opening for them? Fucking Megadeth. Tickets for that gig celebrating Scorpions' 1991 LP Crazy World will cost fans $33.50-$129.50 and also go on sale Friday, April 7 at 10 a.m. EDT. More information is available via local.cltampa.com.
