
Yeah, National Root Beer Float Day is technically Sunday. But so what?
SoHo's Élevage, located inside the boutique Epicurean Hotel, plans to celebrate from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday — with booze. The restaurant's James Beard-nominated executive chef, Chad Johnson, has mini adult root beer floats up his sleeve for dessert. Each one's made with vanilla bean ice cream from Bern's Steak House across the street, plus a little bit of Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum.
Diners can feel even better about their sweet $8 purchase because the sale proceeds benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
You'd never turn down booze for dessert… right?
