For those of you fortunate enough to enjoy the MLK Jr. national holiday, welcome back to the working week.

In Washington, today begins debate on repealing the health care legislation passed last March.  Tampa area Democrat Kathy Castor says it's a fact that the deficit will rise without the bill's enactment, while Fort Myers Republican Connie Mack says the American public has declared they don't like the bill, when every poll indicates that it's a little more nuanced than that.

Speaking of polls, a new one shows that 57% of Americans support gun control legislation being promulgated by New York's Carolyn McCarthy regarding the size of an ammunition clip.  Don't those polls count as well, Congressman Mack?

And an official with a group representing atheists in the military comes to Tampa for two days of events, which you can read more about here.
