Good morning, and welcome to the beginning of Labor Day weekend and all that portends.
Today in Tampa presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Herman Cain are in town for the National Republican Hispanic Assembly, (Update Romney appeared in Tampa Friday morning, which you can read about here).
Romney is supposed to give us his economic plan next week. While we wait for that, you can chew on what Jon Huntsman announced earlier this week.
The Tampa Tribune has a blockbuster story regarding tax fraud in Tampa that's being revealed by local and federal authorities this morning. On the media side, the interesting story is that the Tampa Police Department told the Trib to hold on publishing the story until the investigation was complete, then allowed then access they did not give to other local news agencies.
The Church of Scientology has published their own version of a glossy magazine taking the New Yorker magazine to task for their story from earlier this year, and like all things Scientology, supporters and critics have weighed in via the comments section.
