Next week, Carvel is treating customers to free cones in observance of what it says is the start of ice cream season. And we're OK with it.
Guests can stop into any of the Atlanta-based ice cream chain's participating shoppes between 3 and 8 p.m. Thursday for one junior soft-serve cone on the house — filled with chocolate, vanilla or Cookie Butter ice cream. Inspired by the creamy Lotus Biscoff spread, the new Cookie Butter flavor is available for a limited time.
Locally, Carvel operates in Palm Harbor off U.S. Highway 19 and in Tampa's Channel District.
