Shock poll: 68% of St. Pete residents say they’d rather reinvent Pier than go with The Lens

Just days after the St. Petersburg City Council shut the door on any ballot referendum, a new survey indicates that a majority of people in St. Pete disagree with the idea of razing tear the current Pier for a completely new design.

Specifically the question from St.PetePolls.org asks:

If the costs were the same, would your rather renovate the inverted pyramid pier or build the new Lens pier?
Renovate the inverted pyramid pier: 68.0%
Build the new Lens pier: 32.0%
