Two and a half weeks after Hilary Rosen argued on Anderson Cooper 360 that "Ann Romney that never worked a day in her life," opening herself up to a deluge of personal criticism (including from those closest to President Obama's re-election campaign), the CNN liberal analyst finally went public to participate in a roundtable discussion about women's issues in the 2012 campaign on NBC's Meet The Press on Sunday.

Rosen was contrite when queried by host David Gregory about her provocative statement, saying she had already apologized to Mrs. Romney, but that Mitt Romney's policies regarding women were still up for debate, and said it's still a "woeful, woeful record."

"Does Mitt Romney understand that when he's out there complaining that 40 percent of the people in this country don't pay taxes, what he's really talking about is poor, working people, mostly women, who get away from paying taxes, because of the Earned Income Tax Credit he wants to take away, while he gives his rich friends a tax cut?" she asked. "That's the debate I'm going to engage in."
