Brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met’s last major show before COVID-19 changed everything was over at SeaWorld Orlando. From there on out, the family band—better known as AJR—managed a few ticketed live streams, and a limited series of drive-in shows. But now the band is ready to meet fans in person next year.
Last month, the “I’m Ready” trio released its fourth album, OK Orchestra, which features contributions from the Blue Man Group and Lizzo mastering engineer Chris Gehringer. No, AJR didn’t hire a full orchestra to back it up—like Weezer did this year. But the band is planning to support the album by embarking on a massive 2022 tour. The jaunt includes a May 4 stop at Tampa’s MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater, which, for now, marks the return of live music to the shed at the Florida State Fairgrounds
Tickets to see AJR at Tampa’s MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on May 4, 2022 start at $29.50, and according to a statement from the band, VIP packages and information will be available at a later date.
As of now—which makes sense since there’s no telling what social distancing requirements will be next summer—the seating chart doesn’t show any restrictions on the number of tickets you can buy or how parties must be arranged.
