“Bat Wings” and “Bloodsucker Soup” are among the eerie menu items Locale Market has planned for its Halloween Market Party. Held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, the ticketed celebration invites downtown St. Pete shoppers to eat their way around the gourmet market’s various food stations.

That’s where these dark dishes are served up.

According to a statement from executive chef Jeffrey Hileman, Halloween is one of his favorite times of the year.

“We figured we’d bring the spooky, fun feeling to the Market with a special Halloween-themed food menu at our Halloween Market Party!” Hileman said.

Count Dracula’s aforementioned soup consists of butternut squash with beet juice and toasted pepita seeds, while a black barbecue sauce and heirloom carrots top the wings. Another plate is “Freaky Fry-Day,” which smothers crispy herb fries in bison chili and melted cheese.

Guests can also add a $9.99 wine and beer tasting to their meals, which start at $19.99 per person. What’s more, if they come dressed in costume, Locale will pour them a glass of beer or wine on the house (the best-dressed shopper even scores a gift card).

Halloween Market Party tickets are available for purchase online.
