Al Lang Stadium has a rich history as a breeding ground for legends. Baseball greats such as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Stan Musial cut their teeth during Spring Training playing for their respective clubs and the Tampa Bay Rays used the stadium for their exhibition games for the last time in 2008 leading up to their remarkable run to the American League Championship and a berth in the World Series.
