World of Beer will buy Tampa a pint if the Bucs win Super Bowl LVI With Tom Brady and most of the gang back, the Tampa Bay Bucs are in a good spot to win another Super Bowl, and apparently World of Beer Bar & Kitchen thinks so too. Last week, the Tampa-based craft beer chain announced that they will give away a free pint of beer if the Bucs win Super Bowl 56. “When (not if) Tampa Bay wins the championship in February 2022, everyone drinks free at World of Beer Bar & Kitchen!” said the company in a press release. “Once the Bucs and the G.O.A.T. clinch that 56th championship game victory, on the day of the championship parade, everyone visiting will receive a pint of one of World of Beer’s famous Secret Llama brews on the house!” Secret Llama is WOB’s proprietary line of beer, and is brewed at Brew Hub in Lakeland, Florida. Of course, the offer is only valid on the day of the team’s championship boat parade, and only at the Tampa locations. worldofbeer.com
Tampa chef Jada Vidal wins Guy Fieri’s ‘Grocery Games’ Food Network game show After waiting three years to compete, aspiring Tampa chef Jada Vidal finally got her shot to compete on Guy Fieri’s Food Network show “Guy’s Grocery Games,” according to WFLA. And it looks like the time she had to prepare paid off. On last night’s episode, Vidal walked away with a win and $20,000 in her grocery cart. “It’s very surreal for me because coming from somebody who ten years ago was watching, and hoping, and wishing that one day I would be on the show, and now it’s come true far further than I thought it would. It’s amazing,” Vidal told WFLA. @thejadavidal on Instagram

Salty Paws With all the ice cream shops popping up around the Bay lately, it was only a matter of time before pups got one of their own. Florida’s first ice cream shop strictly for the dogs quietly opened back in July and has been serving ice cream and baked goods ever since. What’s the difference, though? The shop’s stuff is lactose-free and made from ingredients like goat’s milk and dehydrated tripe (freeze-dried meat). It doesn’t have any additives, and its ingredients are more suitable for your pet’s digestive system than the regular vanilla you might’ve given them before. 362 Main St., Dunedin. saltypawsdunedin.com

Chill Bros. Scoop Shop If you haven’t noticed, summer 2021 has been very good for Chill Bros. Scoop Shop. Last month, the ice cream shop with locations in Ybor City and South Tampa announced a forthcoming location at Water Street. And now, a fourth Chill Bros. Scoop Shop is looking at a fall opening on the ground level of South Tampa’s Epicurean Hotel. A PR rep told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that the new shop is moving into the same parcel that used to be home to the Bern’s-affiliated Little Midway ice cream concept (don’t worry, a Bern’s rep said you can still get macadamia nut pints to go at Haven, just a few blocks away). The hotel will also house their production facility, where all ice cream is frozen, mixed, and packed on-site. 1207 S Howard Ave., Tampa. chillbros.com
Chuck Lager Tampa Bay is getting another Chuck. Celebrity chef Fabio Viviani announced he will open a second Chuck Lager America’s Tavern location, this time in the Marina Landings town center at Westshore Marina District. In partnership with BTI Partners, the 4,000-square-foot will have the same menu as the Wesley Chapel location, featuring everything from “Gourmet Burgers and flatbreads to exquisite pasta dishes such as Shrimp Diablo Pappardelle and entrees like ‘Chuck’s’ Citrus Salmon,’” says a press release. Though there’s currently no exact opening date, the restaurant is set to open early next year. 4900 Bridge St., Tampa. chucklager.com
Colony Grill Good news, pizza lovers. Colony Grill is headed down from Connecticut and to the 600 Block of downtown St. Petersburg where it’ll open its flagship Florida location. The original pizza place in Stamford, Connecticut was a few decades old when it was bought out in 2010 by Chris Drury, Ken Martin, Paul Coniglio and Cody Lee—all 1989 Little League World Series winning teammates. The menu is simple: pizza and drinks, chief brand officer Ken Martin told the local blog. Nothing else besides the 12 toppings that accompany the New England-style pies (no crust, just cheese up to the end). The most popular of those topping is Colony’s signature hot oil. 670 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. @colonygrill on Instagram
