Some Democrats have "issues" with polls produced by Scott Rasmussen, but he does have a pretty solid track record. His most recent survey, out today, of "likely" voters vs. registered ones has made him a bit of an outlier in the polling world, in that he still has Mitt Romney ahead of Barack Obama (47-45 percent). This countervails the mainstream media's hype that President Obama is the definitive leader in the race, as most recent surveys show he's out of the margin of error in his national lead and in key battleground states.

Rasmussen does have Obama over Romney in Florida, but it is within the margin of error at 48-46 percent.

But what about the U.S. Senate race? A Rasmussen survey shows Democrat Bill Nelson up by seven points over Republican challenger Connie Mack IV (47-40 percent).
