Maybe it’s not a secret to the folks who live there, but for this soon-to-be-transplant to the Skyway Marina District in St. Pete, Tiki Docks Skyway was a revelation. Who knew that just west of 34th Street S, home to every fast food joint known to man, there would be a sprawling indoor-outdoor restaurant perched right on the marina that serves actually good food? The tiki touches are more about tropical flavors and rum drinks than Polynesian kitsch, and the servings are generous, from a truly jumbo shrimp cocktail to a crispy chicken sandwich that puts Mickey D’s to shame. tikidocks.com
