It’ll smell a lot like teen spirit—or at least the off brand version—when cover band Nirvanna plays an outdoor gig in downtown St. Petersburg on Friday.

According to the band’s promo video, the sound is pretty close to the Seattle grunge outfit, and if you get as fucked up as the Sub Pop-signees used to in the ‘90s, you probably won’t notice the difference (this is humor, it’s best not to touch heroin—stick with Amberbock, that’ll take you back).

For more tribute band action, Cult Nation takes on Ian Astbury’s The Cult, which is weird because, in a non-COVID-19 world, you actually still have a chance to see the black-haired rock god singing “She Sells Sanctuary'' live, but probably not for $10. At Jannus, “masks are strongly encouraged when indoors or social distancing is difficult!”
