If you’ve been listening to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay readers and contributors, then you know that Jesus Bravo’s quesabirria tacos are the best part about Mondays. For a while, the tacos—along with the vanilla and chocolate conchas from chef Korie LoVecchio—have only been available to order for delivery, pickup or in Bravo’s underground dining room.

But now the public at large can have easy access to Bravo and LoVecchio’s wares (Korie also makes the horchata and jamaica) when the Te Invito food truck soft opens in St. Petersburg next Monday, Oct. 18 outside Lingr restaurant where Bravo is the sous chef. Details on hours for the pop-up are forthcoming, but Lingr is located at 400 6th St. S. in downtown St. Pete.

In his appreciation post for Bravo’s taco’s CL contributor Daniel Guess lauded the taco master grinding and nixtamalizing his own corn for tortillas.

“The quesabirria tacos on offer here are a glutinous mashup of Oaxacan cheese and braised beef, huge flavors in tiny packets ready to be dipped in an oh so flavorful consomme. White onion and cilantro help balance the richness of these made to order tacos,” Guess added.
