Coppertail Brewing Co. has joined forces with the Florida Aquarium on another collaboration beer. The new brew, dubbed Sea Turtle Sour, acts as a follow up to the Tampa duo’s first limited release: Coral Haze, a hazy pale ale.

A launch party for Sea Turtle Sour, a sour wheat brewed with key limes grown at the aquarium, takes place at Coppertail from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28. The beer is available while supplies last, and $1 from each pint sold helps fund the aquarium’s rescue, rehabilitation and return-to-ocean programs, which benefit endangered sea turtles around the state and country.

Custom beer glasses, food and surprise animal encounters are other highlights of the party.

Sea Turtle Sour is the second in a series of three releases that the aquarium and Coppertail are expected to debut this year. Coral Haze premiered back in May.
