This show’s billed as “quick and intimate,” but I’ll add that the gig will be unforgettable, too.
UPDATE: Nervous Frames has dropped off this show, but Permanent Makeup will still rage.
That’s mostly thanks to Nervous Frames, which features Simo Perini on drums and Tampa expat shredder Sulynn Hago (pictured; Feral Babies, Career, Propagandhi). The Brooklyn-based instrumental band—which toured in Europe this summer—has been recording at Springs Theater, and while we don’t know who’ll play bass at the no-cover, all-ages Tampa show, expect a sweaty set full of muscular riffs and deep grooves that’ll please fans of Queens of the Stone Age and Altın Gün.
Do not miss the return of Permanent Makeup either. The outrageous St. Petersburg punk outfit has been on a two-year pandemic hiatus (which didn’t stop bassist Christopher Nadeau from releasing a righteous peace-punk project with his new band Work Stress).
