Ybor-born unique local coffee shop concept Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters announced a new Westchase location today, the brand's fourth in Hillsborough County and its first outside of what might be considered Tampa's hip urban cores.
"We are thrilled because this new storefront at West Park Village fits the concept of what we were seeking in our next location and what we proudly offer in all of our locations — a social community, accessibility to pedestrian traffic, and most importantly a sense of place among neighbors, restaurants, retailers and small businesses currently at West Park Village in the surrounding area," said Blind Tiger president Roberto Torres in a press release on Friday.
Nearly a year in the making, the new shop at 10118 Montague St. takes over a former Starbucks. It's expected to open toward the end of 2018, and will offer the same indie feel and selection of coffees and teas that have made the other Blind Tigers so popular, as well as food options, including bowls, salads and breakfast items.
The first Blind Tiger — the slang term for a speakeasy — opened in Ybor City in 2014. A Seminole Heights outpost followed in 2016, and then a SoHo location, which became the company's headquarters, earlier this year.
