The last two years of the prolific performer’s life have seen him indulge in 2020’s Blanco, and 2021’s Negro. The works have been referred to as Arjona’s magnum opus, and in February, he plans to release a combined CD set, containing both albums together, and a 216-page book that revolves around the origins of the album. Arjona also has “Hecho a la Antigua,” an acoustic, live stream concert from 2021 up for Best Latin Pop Album at the Grammys this year. He hasn’t won anything in that—or any, category since 2007.
