Hey, Carrollwood — looks like you’ve got another new restaurant on the horizon. The fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant chain that is Zoës Kitchen is bringing its second Tampa restaurant to 15028 N. Dale Mabry Highway.
The latest location expects to bring more than 30 jobs to the community through its launch, slated for sometime in May.
The Zoës menu draws inspiration from the cuisines and flavors of the Mediterranean’s 21 countries. Grilling — no microwaving or frying, ever — is the chain’s primary cooking method, which it pairs with fresh fruits and veggies, herbs, olive oil and lean proteins.
A variety of hummus and kebabs, sandwiches, bowls, baked falafel and the Live Med Salad (zucchini and squash ribbons, spinach, farro, lupini beans, grape tomatoes, red onion, Parmesan, Calabrian pepper dressing) are among the menu items.
To celebrate its Carrollwood debut, Zoës will allow the first 50 guests in line on opening day to spin the “Goodness Wheel,” an opportunity that results in coveted prizes like a $50 gift card or $100 off a $250 catering order.
Be on the lookout for a social media contest, too, in which buy-one-get-one-free entrees and a year’s worth of free food from the chain are up for grabs.
Zoës became a part of the greater Bay area restaurant scene last year, when its SoHo location opened at the mixed-use Morrison development. A restaurant at Sarasota’s University Station followed not long after.
