✔️ A Tribute to The Last Waltz w/Have Gun, Will Travel and Friends In 2015, promoter Sean O’Brien — along with Bay area Americana heroes Have Gun, Will Travel and what felt like a dozen of the band’s closest friends — staged a local recreation of Martin Scorsese’s iconic concert film documenting The Band’s all-star farewell concert at the Winterland Auditorium in San Francisco. Held in conjunction with Bill Graham and the Rock & Roll Revolution — an exhibition on display through February 10, 2019 at The Florida Holocaust Museum — this encore performance will recreate HGWT’s recreation in a bigger room (Palladium’s Hough Hall instead of Crowbar in Ybor City) with many of the same players paying homage to greats like Clapton, Neil Diamond, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and the many more who graced the Winterland stage over four decades ago. ✔️ Horsewhip LP Release w/Yashira/Reality Asylum/Sentries Heavy, extreme music. For some it’s a badge of honor. For others, it’s pure catharsis. This entire bill is pretty much an exercise in exorcising what ails you inside, and you can read more about that by turning to p. 55 and reading our interview with Tampa hardcore band Horsewhip, which headlines this show in support of its self-titled debut album released a few weeks ago.
