An Irish pub has set its sights on the Brandon property most recently occupied by downtown St. Pete's The Mill.

That was quick.

The Mill closed its short-lived second location at 109 W. Bloomingdale Ave. in late October. According to the Tampa Bay Business Journal, the New American restaurant will launch a new outpost in South Tampa, where Ceviche used to be, next year; managing partners Jason Griffin and chef Ted Dorsey consider this the "relocation" of their 4,000-square-foot Brandon site.

Now back to that forthcoming bar: The Forge plans to offer full liquor and pub grub. Not far from the popular Stein & Vine, the Irish pub will share a plaza with food-slinging neighbors like Olde Towne Pizzeria & Pasta Co. and Capital Tacos.
