Tampa trio Peace Cult hasnโ€™t released its debut album quite yet, but you might hear parts of it when the band kicks off a mini-tour on Friday night at Hooch and Hive.

The pop-punk band is in the midst of a productive year, and in April dropped out of an album release for Mike Mass when the Tampa rapper became the center of sexual assault allegations.

Now the group is about to embark on its first-ever weekender tour, which kicks off in downtown Tampaโ€™s West River district, then heads to Tampa Heights for a Saturday band anniversary show before two more gigs in St. Augustine and Winter Park.

Expect to hear the bandโ€™s cover of โ€œTake Me Awayโ€ from โ€œFreaky Friday,โ€ too.
