Not that long ago, the use of DDT threatened to wipe out eagles and osprey, which is probably why we still get a charge out of watching eagle chicks hatch — and here's another. The eagles live near Fort Myers, and local Realtor Dick Pritchett set up an eagle cam to watch them.

As we post this, we're waiting for the final of four eggs to hatch. If they hatch at night, no worries — the camera has night vision, so you can still watch.

So, up to y'all — you can sit up and wait for Santa, or the final eaglet.
