Collective Arts Brewing is an Ontario-based brewery whose mission is to merge “the craft of brewing with the inspired talents of emerging and seasoned artists, musicians, photographers & filmmakers.”

One of the ways it does that is to feature the work of artists on its beer cans. On Thursday, some of those artists appearing on Collective Arts’ Series 13 cans will appear alongside two handfuls of Bay area visual artists for this art and music party at Mergeculture gallery where Tampa emo band Spork and Tampa rapper Jinx will play sets in between selections from the inimitable Wally Clark.

The gallery space will be open during the four-hour beer tasting, which kicks off at 6 p.m., and the under-renovation, Café Hey will open its doors for an open mic from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m.
