According to TPD, as of Monday morning Brown is still not in custody, reports WTVT. “There are no updates at this time. As soon as something new is available for release, we will put it out via press release. Thanks for understanding,” said the department to the station.
But the Super Bowl LV champ has been steadily posting on his social media accounts, mostly about his latest rap single, “Put that Shit On,” which was released last May.
On Sunday, Brown posted a video to Instagram showing Dutch professional soccer player Memphis Depay, as well as rapper Burna Boy, doing what appears to be the “Put That Shit On” dance, which involves waving one’s finger back and forth.
TPD says Brown was allegedly involved in a verbal altercation with his ex-fiancรฉ at a home in South Tampa on Nov. 28.
“The suspect exited the residence and threw a shoe at the victim striking her in the ponytail,” says the police report. “The victim had no injuries but believed the shoe was meant for her head. The suspect would not open the door or come outside to speak with officers. The suspect also during this incident attempted to issue an informal eviction to the victim.”
At the time, Brown refused to come outside of the home and TPD failed to serve the arrest warrant. But according to WTVT, officers will once again attempt to make an arrest later today.
