I can’t think of many 20-year-olds who already have a signature guitar for sale. Brandon “Taz” Niederauer—whose model is sold by D’Angelico guitars—can’t even drink yet, and he has already accomplished more than most shredders three times his age.

He has performed in “School of Rock” on Broadway and the televised “Jesus Christ Superstar” featuring Alice Cooper’s portrayal of King Herod, and ripped in front of Slash, Jon Batiste, Buddy Guy, and even Stevie Nicks.

On a darker note, Niederauer was onstage with Col. Bruce Hampton when he collapsed and died at his own birthday party in 2017.

Niederauer is currently enrolled at Yale University, and kicks off his summer vacation with a free show alongside New York-based bassist Brad Miller, and ex-Dumpstaphunk drummer Nikki Glaspie.

There’ no cover to see Brad Miller, Brandon “Taz” Niederauer and Nikki Glaspie at Dunedin Brewery on Sunday, June 3.
