Donโ€™t hate us, but we didnโ€™t know that The Get Up Kidsโ€”a Kansas City-based emo band that helped shape the genreโ€”were still active.

In 2019, some four years after the bandโ€™s last time in Tampa, and the same year that saw the departure of founding member James Dewees, the Kids dropped Problems, an album described by critics as a return to the bandโ€™s roots.

Hopefully frontman Matt Pryor leans on the Something to Write Home About and Four Minute Mile bangers that put The Get Up Kids on the map during the set opening for The All-American Rejects and New Found Glory.

Tickets to The All-American Rejects “Wet Hot Summer” tour at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa on Friday, Aug. 11 are still available and start at $35.
