Virtual metalcore band Burn Absoluteโ€”based in both the U.S. and Boliviaโ€”takes influence from Bring Me The Horizon and the early material of Architects. Its debut, five-song EP Catharsis dropped last week, eight months after the first recording session.

โ€œOur goal from the beginning was to deliver a professional sound and image while preserving the raw, authentic essence that drew each of us to this genre,โ€ the band wrote in a Facebook post.

The bandโ€™s EP release gets a little help from a plethora of Floridian metalcore veterans.

Tickets to see Burn Absoluteโ€”along with The Pine Drape, Chasing Airplanes, The Cunningham Wake, and Endurusโ€”play Oscura in Bradenton on Friday, Aug. 18 start at $10.
