Warren Haynes and Gov’t Mule headlined Clearwater Jazz Holiday late last October, The Avett Brothers staged an uplifting, harmonious set at Day 2 of Innings Fest last March, and weeks before that, the 90-year-old country legend played 24 songs in an hour at a scorching, very-sold-out set Florida Strawberry Festival.
Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale—who performed with her band later that night—even joined him for “I’ll Fly Away.”
Any cameos will definitely look different at the old Gary (though another surprise appearance by Bob Dylan backed by Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers would be more than welcome), but at worst, fans will get to see Willie’s son Micah twice, as both a member of his dad’s band, and as the show’s opening act, Particle Kid.
Tickets to see Outlaw Music Festival with Willie Nelson, The Avett Brothers, Gov’t Mule, Elizabeth Cook, and Particle Kid at Tampa’s Midflorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on Saturday, Oct. 7 are still available, and start at $29.50.
