Parlor House Bistro is gearing up to serve the walkable town of Dunedin some American-French cuisine. The concept is located at 1757 Main St., and is set to host an upscale yet casual vibe for diners. Fellow newcomers to Dunedin include HOB Brewing Co. and Sonder Social Club.
Parlor House will make its debut on Tuesday, November 19, with a grand opening celebration in the works after the excitement of the new year dies down a bit. But chef and co-owner Ryan Steffensmeier tells CL the excitement for Parlor House is just heating up. “I have great support, people have been stopping in every single day asking when we’re going to open and to see a menu.” Steffensmeier, originally from Iowa, raised in Oldsmar, has been residing in Dunedin for the last decade. “I’m basically a Dunedinite,” the chef says with a laugh.
Excited to launch his own concept serving up a menu he personally curated, the chef is excited to bring something new to Dunedin that the town hasn’t quite tasted before. Upon opening, Parlor House’s bites will operate a little differently from the average restaurant. For the first hour of business (4-5 p.m.) guests will have access to light, handheld bites and the full bar consisting of wine, cocktails and beer. Beginning at 5 p.m., PH will serve its full dinner menu which includes French dishes with a modern twist before switching back to light bites for the final hour of operation.
In the coming days, diners will be able to make reservations through OpenTable. Hours for the concept are 4-11 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 4 p.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, closed on Sunday.
The restaurant posted a photo of the exterior of the building and “1 week!” on Monday, November 11.
More details to come as the official opening date and hours are announced.
