Every year Lyft publishes its Lyftie Awards, a list of the most popular destinations in each metropolitan area. This year’s Tampa Bay list just dropped, ranking downtown Tampa’s Franklin Manor as the 'Most Visited Destination' that Lyft drivers for drop-offs and pickups. Franklin Manor’s popular happy hour, which includes Tampa’s original frosé, is a testament to how many people leave a little too buzzed to drive home.
Franklin Manor’s elevated small bites, eclectic live music, and craft cocktails earned a 2019 Lyftie Award, among other Tampa Bay hotpots including Armature Works, which won ‘Most Celebrated Venue,’ Ybor City ranked as the ‘Best Late Neighbourhood,’ and Centro Ybor’s TECO Streetcar Station was named ‘Tampa’s Top Transit Spot.’
Lyft also selected James Leigh as the ‘2019 Late Night Hero Driver.’ We can only assume that Leigh has more than likely dealt with puke in his back seat — which is more than enough reason for an award.
