In Tampa’s SoHo district, a bar and grill has rolled into the sleek space most recently home to Bar Asia. BluWave Sushi closed in Pinellas Park in late June before relocating to 122 S. Howard Ave., where its grand opening is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4.

BluWave Sushi started in September 2015. The restaurant uses fresh ingredients to pull off a crowd-pleasing menu of signature, tempura, traditional and vegan sushi rolls, as well as nigiri and sashimi. Hot and cold starters, rice bowls and entrees like chicken katsu and beef pho are other items offered during lunch and dinner.

What took over BluWave’s former home? The Fish Bol, which specializes in sushi and noodles.
