It’s the most wonderful time of the year, when you go back and forth with family about what to do in between meals. Tell pops you want to whack it, and suggest a trip to this miniature golf course that’s popped up on the St. Pete Pier.

Holiday music, merry obstacles and decorations surround the 18-hole course, and be prepared to fork over an extra $5 if your biodegradable ball falls into the ultimate water hazard (the ocean surrounding the Sunshine City’s $92 million gem). Advance tickets are suggested.

Putt the Pier: Holiday Edition runs daily through Jan. 2 at the St. Petersburg Pier and costs $12. Kids ages 4 and under can play for free as long as they’re accompanied by a paying adult.  Subscribe to Creative Loafing newsletters.
