On Thursday evening, the Tampa Pride parade joined a growing list of Tampa Bay area events affected by concerns surrounding novel coronavirus.

“We are rescheduling Tampa Pride 2020 to May 30, 2020,” organizers wrote about the event that was supposed to happen in Ybor City on March 28.

“All Official Tampa Pride 2020 events are on hold and may be rescheduled,” the statement said.

In a text message to Creative Loafing Tampa Bay, Tampa Pride President Carrie West said, "We are working with facilities and agents for the headliners."

"The city confirmed the open May 30th date for rescheduling," West added. "Sorry for confusion, just a fluid state."

The 2020 Tampa Pride Parade in Ybor City, Florida has been rescheduled from March 28 to May 30.
