Pop-punk fans should not miss out on seeing a band that has Victor Alvarez in the lineup.

The former frontman of Awkward Age now plays in emo band New Aesthetics, and opens this brewery gig featuring bands from the same, um, aesthetic, including TV Breakup Scene, Earthgirl (featuring Alvarez’s New Aesthetics bandmate Joshua James Lefefe), and rock outfit Bad, Bad Things.

Tickets to see these local power pop and alternative acts play Deviant Libation (3800 N Nebraska Ave.) on Friday, May 24 are still available for $10 at the door.
