South Tampa’s Ciccio Water has a new name, look and menu. The restaurant, located at 1015 S. Howard Ave., is now a dual-concept called Water + Flour. Water’s new menu focuses on sushi; that side of the concept reopened on May 4 for takeout and delivery.
On Tuesday, Flour, which TBBJ describes as a “a new quick-service, pizza-pasta-salad restaurant,” said it was open for takeout and delivery starting at 11 a.m. Jimmy Lanza, co-founder of Ciccio Restaurant Group, added that Flour will have seating and that Water will be a full-service restaurant. He also said that Water picked up a chef who worked at Roy’s, a 20-year-old Hawaiian fusion concept that closed in the Westshore district this spring.
The lunch and dinner menus include “simple sushi” (think ahi tuna, hamachi and avocado rolls), “rolls that spark joy” (yes, there’s a volcano roll), California bowls (chicken & broccolini, “Fitness,” “The Local” and more), small plates and grilled wraps while the “All Day” menu has fresh pasta (the “Lil’ Spicy,” three-cheese bolognese, more), salads and nine types of 12-inch brick oven pizza. Prices go from $4 for a small Italiano salad to $39 for a family-sized plant-based bolognese pasta.
